Day 2: Cultivating a Heart of Offering

Today marked the second day of GPA being in Korea and everyone has acclimated well into the Cheongpyeong lifestyle. Before starting the day as a group, many chose to wake up early and venture on the hike up the mountain to the Tree of Blessing to pray and connect to God. Despite it being cloudy and rainy, the walk up was beautiful and peaceful. I personally love how Cheongpyeong’s environment creates so much serenity within me and allows me to feel God’s love easier.

After our morning Chanyang session, we had time to prepare performances we hope to offer to Mother Moon. Although we aren’t professional dancers or singers we want to be able to bring a smile and joy to someone who has given so much to us and to whom we have a lot of gratitude for. This practice allowed us to reflect on how much we have received and stirred in our hearts the desire to offer something beautiful in return.

In the afternoon, we were able to receive guidance on building sibling relationships. The content explained how to see our peers as our siblings and how to develop care and love for others outside of our family. We can learn to see others as children of God and relate to them as God would want us to. After the talk, there was free time in the schedule which allowed for an opportunity to apply the guidance by spending time together and growing our relationships.

Ending the day, we took time to reflect on how to make the most of the limited time we have in Korea. Not only focusing on having a good experience for ourselves, we also reflected on how to best make an offering of our time.

Tomorrow we will be traveling out of Cheongpyeong to visit some important landmarks, so stayed tuned to hear about those experiences!
