HUSA: Shalom from Israel!

Today was the first full day for Heavenly USA missionaries in Jerusalem, Israel. We started the day with studying God’s word, an excerpt from the ‘Life and Mission of Jesus Christ’ by Rev. Sun Myung Moon. We will be reading a section of this book daily in order to connect with and understand Jesus’ heart more deeply as we physically walk his footsteps throughout the pilgrimage. Soon after breakfast, we enjoyed a walk around Jerusalem on our way to the Peace Embassy. There, we received a Saturday Service from the national leader of the Peace Center, Liel Willer Hill.

During the evening, we took another walk to Independence Park, a significant location where Rev. Sun Myung Moon held a coronation ceremony for Jesus, by bringing together representatives of the three Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Pastor Levy Daughtery, founding member of the American Clergy Leadership Conference who was present at this event 20 years ago, explained in further detail the significance of this occasion. We ended this day filled with more understanding of Jesus’ deep heart of love for God and for the world.
